Introduction
Are you an adult who wants to learn how to play the piano?

Posture
To start, let's talk about posture. It's important to sit at the right height and keep your back straight and shoulders relaxed.
Your feet should be flat on the ground, and your hands should be placed on the keyboard with your elbows supporting your arms. Remember to keep your wrist relaxed and your fingers curved.
Hand Placement
Now, let's talk about hand placement on the keys. Avoid playing too close to the edge or overextending your wrist.
Start with your hand in a natural position and place your fingers on the keys with a slight curve. Remember to use arm and elbow weight to control the keys, not just your fingers.
Basic Playing Techniques
Now that we've covered posture and hand placement, let's get into some basic playing techniques. We'll start with the note names and keys on the piano.
Remember that the piano has 88 keys, but you can start with fewer if needed. We'll also go over the 12 tones and the pattern of white and black keys.
Next, we'll go over some finger exercises to help with coordination and playing with both hands. Remember to take your time and focus on one technique at a time.
If you're feeling frustrated, take a break and come back to it later.
Conclusion
Learning to play the piano as an adult can be challenging, but with the right techniques and practice, it's possible. Remember to focus on proper posture, hand placement, and take your time with each technique.
